Like many who walk through the doors of AIM Fitness, Zack started with a goal: to feel better, get stronger, and lose weight. But instead of chasing quick fixes, he focused on the fundamentals that we coach every day at our Costa Mesa gym.

When Zack first started with us three years ago, he weighed nearly 370 pounds. Through commitment, coaching, and consistent training, Zack has lost nearly 100 pounds! His body fat has dropped significantly, and his strength numbers have skyrocketed. Zack’s previous bench press PR was 240 pounds (barely!) Now, he’s benching well over 300 pounds and squatting over 500. His transformation speaks to the power of staying the course and trusting the process.

We asked Zach what small or simple changes made the biggest difference in his weight loss and strength journey. He said, "Consistency and discipline. Consistency and discipline in showing up to the gym, moving more, tracking food/macros, getting in 7,500-10,000 steps per day, increasing water and trying to improve sleep all contribute to weight loss and building strength."

Some days when I look in the mirror I still don't see them and just have to believe people when they tell me—even though I know I am physically a lot stronger.
